ADS has recently completed a document management operation for a large international engineering company in Bedfordshire. To help our client release extra floor space ADS took the contents of their bulky filing cabinets, loaded them onto 6 pallets and converted them into scanned and legible documents. The client was pleased with how well engineering drawings with very small text and fine lines could be preserved electronically. As part of the ongoing programme ADS will be scanning more engineering drawings, some going back to the 1950’s and others contaminated by machine shop cutting fluids and oils. The ADS team will be focusing on ensuring they achieve maximum clarity possible for this client. This is quite important where reference is needed to spare parts from decades ago or perhaps in regards to insurance and warranty claims.
