We can scan archived and historic books without the need to take the books apart. The most cost effective method of scanning books is to remove the spine of the book by a guillotine, and then scanning the pages on a duplex scanner. However if removing the spine is not an option, then we will use one of our book scanners which is specially designed to scan the open pages of a book. The scanner effectively acts like a camera and takes a photo of each page. It even has software to remove the curvature of the page. This means that you get perfectly scanned images without damaging the book in anyway. This scanning process is ideal for rare and historic books and magazines.
