A Southend on Sea manufactuer of aircraft seats choses ADS to scan engineering record sheets and job sheets in a project to save space and enable new manufacturing equipment to be installed. The project involved ADS removing all the files and filing cabinets from a large room within a large manufacturing area. ADS took the files off site scanned them returned the data on DVD format and shredded the documents after approval. The room was then taken down for a large manufacturing work station to be set up. This was a good example of how wasted space taken up by files and filing cabnets can be converted to electronic format, and the space to be used in a productive way.
